Steve Whelan

Steve is a certified LTA Level 4 performance coach and LTA coach education tutor, with over twenty years of experience as a full-time tennis coach. He has held several senior management positions, including Tennis Manager at a High-Performance Centre, Head Coach at a large commercial health and racquet club, and Tennis Director and Head Coach at various clubs.

Known for driving participation in all the programs he has been part of, Steve is dedicated to cultivating more proficient players. His coaching approach has led to several athletes achieving ITF junior and ATP world rankings.

As a U10 player development coach, Steve has extensive experience in talent attraction and development, spanning over fifteen years. He has served as Head Coach of talent identification at two former national performance centres and as the North Wales County Coach, successfully producing players for county, regional, and national camps.
